The Music Department runs a busy programme of extra-curricular activities. These operate for the enjoyment of all students and feed into school concerts and community activities. In addition to this list, many small groups and bands flourish as a result of the enthusiasm of the students. Sixth Form and GCSE students have a key role in running and supporting the ensembles. The following activities are being offered during 2010/11:

Junior Choir

A non-auditioning choir for all students Year 7-9

Chamber Choir

A choir for students in Years 10 - 13 who have some previous singing experience.  

Clarinet Group

A group for clarinet players of Grade 4+ standard

Saxophone Group

A group for saxophone players of Grade 4+ standard

Training Band

A group for players who have just started learning an instrument up to Grade 2

Steel Pans

We run a number of different bands to cater for different levels of experience, including an adult and local community band
