Music is taught to all students in Years 7, 8 and 9. It is offered as a subject option at both GCSE and A Level.

Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 receive one fifty minute lesson a week and are taught in mixed ability groups. Students in Year 7 also receive an extra fifty minute lesson as part of a ten-week rotation scheme.

Through different modules of work, students develop skills in performing, composing, listening and appraising.
